Josette Russell
Kanban Expert and Consultant
Josette Russell has a track record of driving improvement in numerous industries over the last 25+ years.
While working in corporate America, she held executive-level roles in operations management, Lean or continuous improvement, and strategic planning. In 2011, she started her own business to focus on assisting companies with strategy and operational improvement.
One of Josette’s specialties is designing kanban systems to improve inventory and delivery performance. Her clients requested a book that describes her unique approach to designing a successful kanban system. To answer that repeated request, Josette recently published Banking on Kanban: Harnessing Kanban to Boost Cash Flow, Minimize Inventory, and Maximize Delivery Performance, which describes how to utilize kanban to decrease inventory and increase cash. She also developed software to calculate kanban solutions, called Dynamic Kanban, which offers a cloud-based calculator for sites that need assistance with the mathematical portion of kanban.
Josette has Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from GMI Engineering & Management Institute (now Kettering University) and a Master of Science in Management from Purdue University. She resides in South Carolina.
